It’s A Historic Day!

Hello KMMA tribe friends, family, students, fellow Americans. Man, what a great and amazing day. It is a historic day. It’s going to be a historic day at KMA, but certainly it’s a historic day for the USA, and for Israel, and for the world with the release of the hostages, and the peace summit going on; and, and and just all the amazing things that have happened today. And as I prepare for my team meeting, uh it’s our fourth quarter team meeting as we’re kicking off how we’re going to finish this year strong, it got me thinking about some relevant things, especially after watching some of that stuff transpire live this morning. The first thing is about what we call resilience, or grit, or perseverance- or dare I even say the art of the comeback. You know, something that that uh, Baker Mayfield and, and President Trump have in common and, and and certainly many other great leaders that are involved in everything that’s going on there is not seeing anything is over.
 
Not seeing, not not accepting the outcome of the way things are, as the way things are- but instead, like seeing what could be, which leads to number two. Number one, I’m going to call, well, for simplicity here, I’m just going to put grit, and comeback. And uh, you know what I’m talking about because we just talked about it. And then two, I already started to allude to because it’s about seeing things not as they are, but as they could be. It’s about having a strong belief and a vision for the future, which is greater than the reality today. So, I’m going to call this focus because we know that energy flows where focus goes. And that if we focus on what we want, instead of what we don’t want, we have a better chance of getting it. And, and of course, when we’re talking about a big a big go, and a big future, and you know, getting back those hostages- finishing your your, your business year strong, finishing your financial year strong, finishing your whatever your goals- I mean, look back to rows and goals that you had for yourself, and your family, and your business, and you know, depending on who you are listening to this: early this year, and where are we/you, because we’re in the fourth quarter.

So, depending on how far we are on those goals; we know we know we’re either doing great, or we know we got to pick it up, because we know that we can make a comeback. We know we don’t have to accept things as they are. We can instead see things as they could be, and then make them happen. And you know, obviously, one of the things that make it happen is execution itself. But today, I want to talk about number three, because I really believe it’s the thing that has made all the difference on that world stage. And I really also believe it’s the thing that makes all the difference in a family, a team, a community, a business, whatever is the thing that we are charged to lead the life, the entity, the country, the business, the thing doing leadership. Well, the things that that we always talk about, and that we always work on in in our Black Belt leadership program are the things that create success and a future.
 
They’re the things that create the comeback. Of course, grit, and resilience, and perseverance, and focus, and vision are all parts of our black belt leadership program- but only a small part that there’s so much more, and all those things including teamwork, and communication, and in addition to all those things are the things that make amazing things happen. As the great John Maxwell always said, he said everything rises and falls on leadership. And that’s in play on the world stage today. And certainly today is a historic day. But here’s my challenge to me and you. Let’s make a historic day in our personal lives, in our personal leadership, too. That’s what I plan to do for myself, my team, my organization, and it’s what I hope you plan to do, too. In fact, we’d love to help you.
