Catch It While You Can!
Today I want to congratulate all our KMMA students that took their next steps towards Blackbelt and beyond this weekend!
And again all the Blackbelts who leveled up last weekend too!
Today, we start the next step on everyone’s journey. Today is the first day of the 4th quarter of 2025!
Can you believe it?
Time flies when you’re having fun. 🙂
Speaking of that, I noticed some of you new brown belts and red belts at graduation Saturday, that it felt like had just begun! (though i know it’s been at least a couple of years)
But didn’t it feel like it went by fast?
I bet many of the Blackbelts, with 3,4,6 years or even 13 or more years, like our new Masters, feel like the time flew by.
And here is the truth- the time will fly by.
My 56 years of life and 44 in the martial arts has flown by. My kids are all grown and out of the house.
If you’ve lived long enough, you know exactly what I mean too.
And here’s what that means, for me and you.
The time will go fast, no matter what you do. But the quality of that time, and our futures, is determined by what we do with it!
So spend time with great people, doing great things, make great memories and become greater every day.
Chase goals and dreams.
Max out the moments of your current life while also investing in your future one.
It goes fast.
What you do with it is up to you.
By the way, if you’ve ever dreamed of becoming a Blackbelt. Or would just love something amazing to do with your kids, where you can grow together and make memories that will last a lifetime while we partner in preparing them for the rest of their lives.

About Grandmaster Stephen J. Del Castillo: Grandmaster Del Castillo is the founding Master Instructor of Krav Maga Martial Arts and has been empowering lives in Pasco and Hillsborough Counties since October of 2000. He is a 7th degree Blackbelt, MBA, author, mentor and success coach, a US Army Veteran and a proud father and grandfather. He is married to Ms. Barbara Del Castillo who helps him run the school. Grand Master Del Castillo began his training in the early 80’s and has high level blackbelts in Tae Kwon Do, Karate, Premier Martial Arts and Krav Maga Martial Arts as well as experience in kickboxing, Jeet Kune Do and Jiujitsu.
