It’s a Wonderful Life – Merry Christmas From KMMA!

Merry Christmas from Team KMMA!

   I just watched It’s A Wonderful Life with my wife. I can;t believe I waited 54 years.

Wow. They really don’t make them like that anymore
Movies that is.

But thankfully, there are still great men making wonderful lives.
I’m proud and grateful to know a few.

Many of you are reading this as we speak, and you know who you are.

I am grateful to all the men and women making a positive difference in other men’s, women’s and children’s lives.

Each of us needs all of us and all of us needs each of us.

   Grateful for you.

And if you haven’t watched the 1940’s original movie with the great Jimmy Stewart, do that.

You’ll wonder why you waited too.

Today I am grateful for Miguel, Melanie and Micaela Martinez. They honored my team and I with an appreciation dinner at the Living Room Friday night and, while the food and fellowship was great, what was especially meaningful to me was all they said in their presentation. Earlier that day, during my team goal setting workshop, one of the questions on one of the worksheets during the gratitude session of the living your best year segment asked “what compliment do you wish you would have gotten this year?” Ironically I didn’t answer it just then. I wasn’t sure. But Sensei John, then Sensei Allie and then my wife all named me as one of the three people that had made the greatest impact on their life during the year; and then I did know what compliment I would have liked to get, and had also gotten it. I felt so appreciated and the question had been answered. Then Miguel and Melanie honored me with my team at dinner and I felt it again. I am proud and grateful for them and that I get to do what I do for my team and students and make a difference in our community. So are Miguel and Melanie through their Flavors of Change Foundation by the way.https://www.flavorsofchange.org/
Like KMMA, they’re making a difference in the lives and futures of community youth and I’m proud to be associated with them too. Miguel and Micaela are also KMMA Blackbelt Leadership students that exude what the programs all about, and I’m also to grateful to call them all friends. #ilovekmma
