In The Eye of the Storm

If you’re tracking Idalia, my advice is the same as it is for everything, pray for the best and prepare for the worst.

What it’s never a time to do is to panic.

Even if the worst (in any scenario) did happen, calm headed preparedness and leadership is key.

Panic makes bad matters worst.

That’s why I appreciate our own Dennis Phillips by the way.

I recorded a shout out to him this morning and you can watch it here if you didn’t already clip on the YouTube link above.

And if you don’t already follow him, you can do so here.

I don’t plan on closing the academy at all, by the way, unless there is any indication that we should do so for the safety of students or staff between now and that decision.

But if we do, it’ll be announced on The Official KMMA Family Facebook page and all of my regular channels.

We will also be recording tonight’s classes, so you have something to watch at home if you do miss your regularly scheduled classes.

You should be able to make at least one class for stripe test this week and, if you let us know you watched the other one from home, we’ll count that as attendance this week also.

In closing, I wanna shout out to you too.

Everyone is going through challenges in life…

it’s not always a storm, a violent self defense situation or some other emergency, sometimes it’s the quiet challenges that aren’t small to you.

These include the voices of negativity or insecurity, fear, lack of control or just the nagging wonder if you’re good enough, to win whatever battle you are going through.

I applaud you for staying the course and doing your best.

I applaud you for training to become even better.

After all, that’s what preparation is all about.

We can’t prepare for the worst when it happens- by definition, that must happen in advance.

If you’re not a student yet, by the way, we’d love to help you prepare for your worst battle.

Click here and we’ll show you how.
