What’s He Gonna Say Next?
There are two things I love to do even more than most of the rest of what I do: I love teaching and I love writing.
I love teaching both to see the positive impact I make on the students I get to teach, rather that be the brand new whitebelts or even those taking a trial class, their first exposure to the magic of what we do at Krav Maga Martial Arts, or rather I am teaching my most senior Blackbelts and instructors.
There is a unique joy to teaching each.
But I also love watching the parents or other audience watching me, wondering, “what’s he gonna say next”.
Sometimes that’s because what I am teaching is wise, and very useful to their kids.
Sometimes it’s just that I’m being funny and entertaining them.
Both versions entertain me. 🙂
But I love writing almost as much.
Always have too. I actually won national awards for it all 3 years of high school.
I didn’t write as much during my tenure in the Army, at least not the creative kind of writing that I enjoy.
I wrote a lot as a Philosophy major in college…
And then, for the last few years running the school, I have written blogs and other material for my students and customers too.
And, in 2020, got to write my first book too.
If you’re a student, you should already have a signed copy.
If not, you can get it on amazon, check out my author’s page, or just reply to this email and give your address and I’ll be happy to send you one.
And now to the real point of this email.
I need your help deciding which book I am going to finish next.
I’ve decided it’s time to do so.
The book is will capture much of the Blackbelt Leadership principles that we teach and develop through our Blackbelt Leadership Program either way, but I have a couple different ideas about for which audience, and about the packaging.
One would be a more generic version that would be meant to appeal to everyone. It was my original idea. The title my publisher and I had come up for that one was Secrets Your Parents Never Taught You, Because They Probably Never Knew.”
He says the title’s gotta grab them. 🙂
But when Lee Milteer interviewed me for her Millionaire Smarts podcast, she told me that I should write a version of the first book targeted directly at business leaders and entrepreneurs.
That ideas appealing to me too.
And as a parent myself, and knowing the unique challenges we face, I thought about making this one directly targeting parents.
Which of these would be most interesting to you?
