We Had Some Detours, Too…

Hi  you,

Did you know that last week was out 25th anniversary at KMMA. Truth is, we forgot to even say anything and it passed us by we’ve been so busy. When I noticed, I recorded this lesson for our students to be played in classes.

Then, I sent them the below email and it made me think of you. You were on your Blackbelt journey too.

But for some reason- perhaps you were too busy, or finances or other life circumstances got you.

Whatever the reason, I’ll definitely confess that we’ve had lots of detours too. Bruce’s quote below applies to that too.

I’ve had many amazing Blackbelts that left before- many of whom came back and help me execute our Vision and Mission at KMMA today!

Remember Sensei Allie, Sensei James and Shihan (then Sensei) Thomas?

They’re all key members of Team KMMA, as are Shihan Carolyn, Shihan Winston and others.

The important thing to remember is, no matter why you left or how long you’ve been away, you can always come back and begin again!

Listen, if you’re at a point in your life where you feel like something’s missing and you may want to return and see where you fit in our tribe, or even with Team KMMA, schedule a meeting and I’ll personally help you.

You’ve nothing to lose, and so much to gain.

Grandmaster (you probably knew me as Shihan 😉

Twenty-five years ago, Krav Maga Martial Arts began as a simple dream — a dream to help people become safer, stronger, and more confident.

It hasn’t always been easy. Like every worthwhile journey, there have been ups and downs, victories and challenges. But every challenge has made us stronger — just as it does for every student on the path to Blackbelt.

The purpose of the Blackbelt Leadership journey isn’t just to earn a belt.
It’s to become the person who earns it — the confident and competent Blackbelt Leader who is prepared to survive and thrive in any situation.

When the training gets tough… when life gets in the way… when you feel like giving up — remember why you started.
Remember that the struggle is part of the process, and that no one succeeds alone. At KMMA, we don’t give up — we team up.

That’s what it means to be part of our Blackbelt Leadership Academy.

Keep training. Keep growing. Keep becoming the best version of yourself.
