Vision + Winning the Day
This week, during our Blackbelt Goal-Setting Season, we’re focusing on one of the most important superpowers we teach at KMMA: Vision.
Vision gives us direction.
Vision shows us who we want to become — as students, as parents, as leaders, and as Blackbelts in training.
But there’s a powerful truth we are teaching your students this week:
👉 Vision alone doesn’t create Vision.
👉 Your future is shaped by what you do today.
As Mark Batterson writes in Win the Day:
“If you do the little things like they’re big things, God will do the big things like they’re little things.”
That message fits perfectly with our Blackbelt training philosophy.
A big Vision — becoming a Blackbelt, becoming a leader, achieving a major goal — can feel far away. It can even feel overwhelming.
So we break it into something every student (and every adult) can do right now:
⭐ WIN THE DAY.
Winning the day means:
-
Showing up with focus, respect, and discipline
-
Paying attention with eyes, ears, mind, and body
-
Giving your best effort
-
Improving even 1% today
-
Acting like the future Blackbelt you want to become
If a student wins today, they grow today.
And when they string together enough winning days…
Good days → great weeks
Great weeks → great months
Great months → great years
Great years → Blackbelts and leaders
That’s how Vision becomes reality — not by wishing, but by intentional daily action.
So this week, ask your child:
-
What does winning the day look like for you?
-
What small action today moves you toward your Vision?
Because when they learn to win the day, they learn the real secret every Blackbelt knows:
The future is built one day at a time.
Prepare to LIVE; Empower to LEAD.
