Train Like a Blackbelt

Train Like A Blackbelt

Thank you for making it to today’s seminar! Here are a few reminders about what it means to “train like a blackbelt”!

  • 2-3 classes per week
  • Always giving 100%
  • Focus- A Blackbelt uses the four laws of concentration, focuses on learning and always getting better and learns to apply Focus to what he or she wants more of; not on what they don’t.
  • Respect- A Blackbelt uses the 7 words of Respect, and shows respect in and out of the dojo, for self and others.
  • Discipline- A Blackbelt applies Discipline to accomplish her goals. Discipline over time is what got them to Blackbelt Excellence in the first place, and the Blackbelt applies the same to every worthy goal and deed.
  • Confidence- A Blackbelt is Confident; but wasn’t always that way. Confidence increases as competence does; but until that time, train “like a blackbelt” by acting confident until you are!
  • Gratitude- Blackbelts realize that many people were responsible for the training and development process that got them there. They are grateful to the parents and others who brought and supported them, the Sensei that taught them, and the school and system that make them the Confident, competent Blackbelt Leaders they are! Practice YOUR Gratitude all the way!
  • Vision- A Blackbelt first had the Vision of being one, and realizes that every great goal is accomplished in the same way. The Blackbelt has future Vision for even greater martial arts goals, and in school, career, relationships and life! We create our future by what we see and do today.

A Blackbelt is not something you buy, get or even earn.

A Blackbelt is someone you become.
