Tougher than Tough

Meet my dog, Krav.

He’s 5 months old, and appropriately named.

Krav is a great dog- cute, loving, compassionate and committed, but also tough.

I couldn’t resist sharing this story, from this morning.

I went up to shower to get ready for the day at KMMA.

When I came down, my wife Barb said, “I gave him that brand new toughie toy when you went up and he has it almost all torn apart already!”

First thought was, named him well. 🙂

Second was that he’s a good dog, that would never hurt anyone…

but i bet he sure could if he needed to defend my wife or someone else.

And of course, that’s what Krav’s all about-

not the dog, the Krav Maga self defense part of our curriculum I mean.

My students develop Focus, Respect, Discipline, Confidence, Gratitude and Vision; and character and communication skills such that they would never willingly engage in violent conflict.

But they’re also taught to be tough, with the physical, mental and emotional attributes to survive and thrive in any situation- rather that be defense of self or others, or any of the trials and tribulations that are part and parcel of life.

I am so grateful that my team and I get to help bring up Blackbelt Leaders who are tough.

Because being tough is not a bad thing; especially when we need it.

Prepare To Live; Empower To Lead!
