They Didn’t Quit

KMMA Family,

Sunday was the test.

And it was everything it’s supposed to be.

Challenging.
Demanding.
Physical.
Mental.

There was sweat.

  There were moments of doubt.

     There were even some tears.

But there was something more powerful than all of that:

They didn’t quit.

   Every student stepped up.

They pushed through.

They demonstrated their techniques, their self-defense, their grit, and their character.

And in the end…

   They earned it.

That’s what being a Blackbelt Leader is all about.

   Not perfection.

But perseverance.

And something else happened this weekend…

That same principle showed up somewhere else.

Our new KMMA Headquarters.

Over the past month, we set a goal:

To be ready for our Grand Re-Opening.

It wasn’t easy.

There were long days.

Late nights.

A lot of moving parts.

And more than a few moments where it would have been easier to slow down.

But we didn’t quit.

We stayed focused.

We worked together.

And we got it done.

In fact, yesterday one of our parents—who works in the construction industry—told me something that really stood out.

He said:

“I thought there was about a 1% chance you’d be ready on time.”

And then he said:

“It’s amazing what you accomplished.”

That’s what happens when you live the lesson:

Team Up. Never Give Up.

Whether it’s on the mat…

Or building something bigger…

The principle is the same.
