The Power of Execution

Hi KMMA Tribe,

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been spending a lot more time on the mat — talking with students, parents, instructors, and leaders at both schools.

And I just want to say this first:

I’m proud of you.

I’ve seen focus.
I’ve seen discipline.
I’ve seen leadership.
And I’ve seen many of you step up and recommit to your training and your growth going into the new year.

That matters.

This season — right now — is about presence and WIN (What’s Important Now / Next).

For me, what’s important now is helping as many students as possible continue their journey into 2026 with clarity, momentum, and purpose.

For you, it’s about asking a simple but powerful question:

Who am I choosing to become next year — and what actions support that choice?

At KMMA, we don’t believe leadership is something you say.
It’s something you train.

That’s why our Blackbelt Leadership Program isn’t just another class —
it’s a system for building confidence, discipline, focus, resilience, and direction that carries into every part of life.

Many of you have already renewed or recommitted — and that tells me a lot about who you are.
You’re choosing consistency.
You’re choosing growth.
You’re choosing to keep building on what you’ve already earned.

For those still deciding, I want you to know this:

There is no pressure — but there is a window.

Goal-setting season is about to close.

And with it the best chance to start 2026 and all the great training and new experiences it will bring as part of our amazing Blackbelt Leadership tribe!

We don’t rise to our intentions.
We fall to our systems.

And the system you choose now determines the momentum you carry into 2026.

If you’ve already renewed — thank you. I’m excited about what’s coming next for you. (I have been doing a lot of work behind the scenes too to make our leadership training program even better! I can’t wait to share it with you!)

If you haven’t yet — let’s talk. I’d love to help you make the right decision for youand your family.

I’ll see you on the mat.

With respect and gratitude,
Grand Master Steve
Prepare to Live. Empower to Lead.

P.S. Goal-setting season ends soon, and with it the additional savings, bonuses, and scholarship opportunities. If you’ve been meaning to renew or move into Leadership, now is the time. Let’s get you set up before we break — so you return ready to train, not trying to catch up.

Fourteen years ago I brought my then 3 year old son and 6 year old daughter into the KMMA dojo to start a self defense program. What we received was so much more. I thought that self-discipline and focus might be an indirect benefit of training but how refreshing it is for a parent to discover that leadership skills are a primary benefit packaged within a fun, physical self-defense program. Grand Master delivers powerful leadership lessons that are relatable to kids and equally meaningful to adults. Seven years ago I decided that rather than check my phone or get some extra work done on Saturday morning that instead I would jump on the mat during the family class for fun and just to give it a try. I never regretted that impulsive decision to get a little exercise that day.

Grand Master’s Blackbelt Leadership Training Program is the secret to success! The exciting, educational and entertaining classes create the physical and mental toughness and leadership skills required to succeed on the Blackbelt test and in life!

And the built in Certified Instructor Training is a bonus! I never thought I’d actually teach but the training helped me with my leadership position at USF. It still does and now I get to help teach too!

If you are not part of the program yet, fix that!
