The Law of the Process

Today is Team Tuesday, and usually I brag on a member of my amazing Team today.

We are really blessed with amazing instructors at KMMA.

Today, I decided to write about how they got that way.

One of the Blackbelt Leadership principles that we teach at Krav Maga Martial Arts is The Law of the Process.

This law says that excellence happens daily, but not in a day.

Thus, every amazing KMMA Blackbelt Leader was once a white belt.

Each and all started poorly. Some lacked confidence, and others self control.

Many lacked any particular physical skill or coordination when they began; some because they were very young, and others because they’d never done anything truly physical before.

They all started in our Basic Training Program, where we sow basic physical skills and the foundations of our krav maga self protection system…..

and also begin developing the Blackbelt Foundational Superpowers of Focus, Respect, Discipline, Confidence, Gratitude and Vision.

The Basic Training also prepares the student for our Blackbelt Leadership Program.

When a student qualifies, he moves on to the Blackbelt Leadership Program for the rest of his or her training to Blackbelt and beyond.

Congratulations JP!  You will be a great Sensei one day!

And one day those that stay find themselves surrounded by other great leaders in the Blackbelt class.

The Certified Blackbelts help me sow into the probationary blackbelts. The Blackbelt Leaders (2nd Degree) help sow into the Certified (1st Degree) and the Senior Blackbelts (3rd Degree) into the rest….

The Master Instructors (4th and above) also help me sow into all of these and I, of course, get the honor and priviledge of sowing into all of them.

Some of these amazing Blackbelts also become certified instructors, and part of Team KMMA- helping sow Blackbelt Leadership Excellence, as well as fitness and real world self defense into all of our tribe.

Today I am grateful and proud of all.

Wherever you are in your journey, I hope to see you soon. I’ll be teaching thde Blackbelt classes Tuesday and Thursday night this week, and also jumping on to check the progress of some other classes during the stripe test this week.

I’m proud of you! Stick to it!

You’re getting better every day in every way and remember- excellence happens daily but not in a day!

There are two erroneous ways of thinking on two extremes when it comes to this process:

a. one is thinking you already got it all and quitting before you become a Blackbelt leader; you are never as good as you think.

b. the other is thinking that you can’t become great because of where you are or how you start. All you need is desire and the courage to begin.

Then don’t quit. We’ll help you with the rest and one day you’ll be a Blakcbelt Leader too!
