That’s Why They Call It a Test

Krav Maga Martial Arts are stripe testing next week…

that’s not a really hard one.

But it’s important. The stripe test is a progress check wherein instructors make sure students have their required attendance and are showing progressive competence in the material we have been training.

It’s an important check on learning, so that the students and instructors know what needs to happen to make sure the student will be ready for testing…

so that they can do what they must to prepare to succeed!

Then, next month, they’ll have another stripe test at the end of the month.

And in September, the belt test!

That’s of course a bit harder…

the standard is a little higher.

Because, if the students and instructors have been doing what they are supposed to, they are prepared

They knew what they had to do to get ready- because of those progress checks in July and August.

You know what else is happening in September.

Some students are testing for Blackbelts!

These tests, whatever degree they are testing to, are much harder- physically, mentally, and emption ally more challenging…

And here are the 3 important points of this lesson:

1. the Blackbelts are ready- prepared to survive and thrive during this grueling test. Why? Because they’ve been preparing for years now.

2. Why’s the test so demanding in the first place? Because of the immensity of the reward. Our Blackbelt Leaders are prepared to survive and thrive in any self defense or other challenging situation in life! And also prepared to lead, themselves and others, where they’re at and into their future!

3. All of life’s great tests are like that. The greater the potential reward, the greater the test. It’s our job to check our progress along the way- and, if we’re lucky, we have some mentors to help. When we prepare regularly and consistently, and check our progress along the way, we’ll be ready for the test when comes that day.

Prepare To Live; Empower To Lead!
