Thanks, Dr Mike!

TampaKravMaga.com

I could thank him for so many things.

He’s a humble, hungry, and honeable Blackbelt Leadership student, in spite a life of accomplishment.

And he’s an amazing ambassador of our program, always sharing the good news about our programs at KMMA.

But I am specifically thanking him for his response to my yesterday email today.

In it, I asked: So what do you want to know?

Here is the email he sent me back:

What else ‘ya wanna know?

OK, here goes…

Dr. Mike watches people (mostly kids) write Santa with their holiday wish list for presents.  What a great tradition!  As I have everything I need/want in the material world, I would like to write a few words about KMMA and perhaps get a present or two.

1) My experience here has been amazing. Personalized and beyond expectations. Sensei Thomas taking over as chief instructor was an easy transition, this being no slight whatsoever to Sensei Sarah.

2)I continue to be amazed and pleased by the up-and-coming Sensei Charlie and Sanpai Ayden.  Two young men who are the walking talking embodiment of all you teach. Sensei Mac is equally impressive working full time and crushing it at UT.   Shihan Harley is one of a kind.

3)Dr. Mike’s Christmas wish list.

With the teased improvements for 2023, perhaps these are already in the works:

  1. a) easier access to the online videos.  I use them on a near daily basis.  It would save me a lot of time if they were more easily grouped and accessible.
  2. b) Teaching videos of holding for the kickboxing sets. Teaching the “why” of holding would help me very much.

c)Training/exercise videos both for endurance during stress drills and stretching/practice drills for kicks, punches etc.  I am very proud of myself that I can keep up with the young folks during KMMA workouts. (BRING IT ON SIR!)  I do get pretty winded by the end of a stress drill, which I know is by design, but if there are specific workouts to help with this type of endurance, my technique would be better.

  1. d) kali videos.

Thank you.  I will see you tomorrow at the Blackbelt Leadership Awards Dinner.

Respectfully,

Mike Reisman

First, I am grateful for his taking the time to reply.

Replying, sharing, commenting, and posting on a writer’s writing is the next step compliment to reading it (thank you for that). 🙂

But it’s confirmation; like responding when someone says something to you. It’s validation…

And, in the case of Dr. Mike’s email, it’s even edification!

Based on his input, I was able to make the already AWESOME gifts/surprises and improvements I had in store for KMMA even better!

We are already AMAZING at delilvering on our Mission.

We  prepare our students to live- to survive and thrive in ANY situation.

The physical, mental, emotional training  of our program prepares every student to live!

   We empower them to lead-

in the academy, but also in school, work, business, their families, groups communities; everywhere leadership is required.

Our training at the Blackbelt Leadership Academy is second to none!

But our LIVE Virtual and our on-demand programs are awesome too!

And Dr. Mike helped me make them even better!
