Spring into summer

This morning, I Googled the question “what does Spring represent?” and this was the answer:

Spring Joy and Love

Themes of rebirth and renewal often use symbols from the spring season. Spring also refers to love, hope, youth and growth. The seasonal symbolism for this period may also allude to religious celebrations such as Passover or Easter.

Being a Christian, I am of course eternally grateful for the Easter message of resurrection and redemption.

I wish all our Jewish students and families a great Passover week too!

Speaking to you as the Founding Master Instructor of Krav Maga Martial Arts, I also love that Spring connotes rebirth, renewal, love, hope, youth and growth. These are all part of the process and day to day business of KMMA.

  • Over the past two weeks we tested and promoted Blackbelts to all levels of the Blackbelt Leadership ladder. These times are times of rebirth, renewal and love!
  • Krav Maga Martial arts is a leadership development academy that also happens to teach the most practical self defense. Our message, and our lessons, are always positive and, in fact, a big part of what we teach is how to Focus on what we want instead of what we don’t. Through this and the other messages of empowerment we give our students, they develop hope! Students see in the Blackbelt examples of who and how they can be and hope that they will grow into Blackbelt Leaders too- and they do!
  • Finally I love the message of youth. We are blessed with some great young Junior Blackbelts, but also with some amazing senior Blackbelt leaders who remind us that youth is not a number but a state of being and an attitude! 6 of the 15 adult Blackbelt promotions this cycle were over 50, including Umberto Rivera, 67, and Phoenix McKinney, 72, to Second Degree Blackbelt!

In this Passover, Easter and Spring season, let us all look at where we are and where we want to go.

What better time to renew your goals, love each other, and rebirth your hope and Vision?

It’s bonus week at KMMA, asnd next week the first week of the Spring/Summer Semester.

This week we celebrate and next week we start fresh on next steps towards our goals.

This week is also a great time to bring guests and for new students to get started on their 2 week free trial and orientation program!

I hope to see you soon!

I’ll be rocking the floor with Shihan Harley, Sensei Kyle, Sarah and Winston tonight!

Speaking of Springing Into Summer

Our Krav Maga Martial Arts Summer Training Camps are forming now!

These camps are a great opportunity for students to have fun, accelerate their training even beyond their regular evening classes, and even level up!

They are a great place to get started too!

Each camp is limited to only 24 campers and will fill fast.

And, to be clear, these are martial arts training camps. Students will have all kinds of fun activities including great martial arts, but also Ninja Trix, sports, leadership activities, games, goal setting and more.

This is NOT a daycare camp. There are lots of camps that do that well.

We have chosen to be the best at everything we do and our summer training camp is no exception.

If you are looking for a positive, productive, fun and growth oriented activity for your child(ren) this summer- we got you covered.
