Proud and Grateful

Today I am proud and grateful for all the leaders and students that made the Blackbelt Retreat Weekend magical.

Congrats to all the new Blackbelts and degrees thereof, and thank you to all the Blackbelt Leaders, Senior Blackbelts and Masters who helped make it happen too!

Here’s my video message to you.

ITC / Krav Camp Testimonial

Krav Camps and ITC (Intensive Training Camp) are some of my favorite things to be a part of. I find tremendous value in them regardless of rank. As a higher rank belt, it’s a great review of all the curriculum.

For lower ranks (like me) it can be a bit like drinking from a firehose at times, but if you don’t put pressure on yourself it is a ton of fun. It’s a way to be exposed to all the curriculum that you will learn as you advance in rank, and an incredible workout. It’s also a great way to keep refreshing your memory on techniques after you’ve moved on to new ones in your regular classes.

I really love the camaraderie that comes from working with everyone for a 6-8 hour day, bonds forged in sweat. In your day-to-day classes you’re usually working with similarly ranked classmates and senpai, at these camps you also partner with people of more advanced ranks. Each partner a wealth of knowledge they are eager to share with you.

I love attending these camps so much that I’ve signed up for all the remaining ones in 2022 and all of 2023.
