Presence, WIN, and Your Next Step at KMMA
Dear KMMA Family,
I want to share something that has been on my heart this week.
Over the last several days, I’ve had the privilege of being especially present with so many of our amazing students and families — first at our Leadership Dinner, then at the Lutz school on Monday and Tuesday, and tonight in Port Richey. What a blessing it has been to see everyone’s faces, shake hands with parents, talk with students about their goals, and feel the energy and excitement that fills our dojos during this special season.
I am so proud of our students — and so grateful for the incredible job my team is doing.
Our instructors work hard every day bringing out the best in our kids and adults… and our students respond with heart, discipline, and a desire to learn and grow. When you put great teaching and great effort together, you get something truly special — and I’ve seen that in every class this week.
Being present reminds me of something important:
Presence is powerful.
Presence means showing up — fully, intentionally, with purpose.
Presence means focusing on WIN — What’s Important Now and What’s Important Next.
Presence means giving your best to the moment in front of you, because the moment in front of you is what builds your future.
And that is exactly what many of you are doing right now.
This time of year is what we call our Renewal Season, and I am personally stepping forward more in these last weeks of the year to help as many students as possible take their next step into the program that has changed so many lives — our Blackbelt Leadership Program.
To me, renewing into Blackbelt Leadership is more than signing up for another year.
It’s a commitment to yourself.
It’s choosing the path of excellence.
It’s saying “Yes” to the gift that will continue to give for life.
And parents — I want you to know that your children gain far more than physical skill. They gain confidence, resilience, focus, respect, discipline, vision… and the leadership qualities that will carry them into adulthood prepared to lead and succeed.
For our current Leadership students — keep going. I am so proud of and grateful for you, and impressed every time I see the amazing Blackbelt Leaders you are becoming!
For those in Basic who are ready, now is the time to step into Leadership.
And if you’re Blackbelt Training but ready for even more challenge, perhaps even becoming KMMA Sensei yourselves one day, we’d love to have you! That is part of the legacy we are building, and I’d love to talk to you about where you belong in it.
I am here. My team is here. We are present — fully present — to help you WIN your day, your goals, your journey.
Let’s finish this year strong, with presence, gratitude, and purpose.
And let’s begin the next year with an even greater vision for who we are becoming together.
