Looking for a Few Good Sensei

Blackbelt Family,

I’m reaching out personally to a small and very specific group—current and former KMMA Blackbelts—because of where our schools are headed next.

KMMA is growing.
Not recklessly.
Not by lowering standards.
But by building leaders the right way.

As part of that growth, we are opening new leadership and instructional opportunities at both of our locations. These are not “helping out” roles, and they are not for everyone.

They are for Blackbelts who feel the pull to:

  • Lead from the front

  • Protect standards and culture

  • Help shape the next generation of students and leaders

  • Grow personally while contributing professionally

Some of you have stayed close to the mat.
Some of you stepped away for a season.
Some of you may not have considered teaching—until now.

This is not a mass hiring push.
This is an invitation to explore whether there is a fit.

What We’re Looking For

We are beginning to intentionally develop:

  • Assistant Instructors and Sensei candidates

  • Leadership bench strength for future expansion

  • Blackbelts who want responsibility, growth, and impact

This starts with training, shadowing, and proving ground opportunities—not titles, not shortcuts.

What This Is (and Isn’t)

This is:

  • A leadership pathway

  • A chance to contribute meaningfully

  • A professional standard worth earning

This is not:

  • A guaranteed position

  • A casual side role

  • About money first

We believe compensation follows value, and leadership is built—not handed out.

If This Speaks to You

If you feel a quiet “maybe” or a strong “yes,” I’d like you to reach out.

Reply directly to this email and let me know you’d like to learn more.
No pressure. No commitment yet. Just a conversation.

KMMA has always been about more than training techniques.

It’s about developing people who lead with character, discipline, and purpose.

If that still resonates with you, the door is open.

With respect,
