Leadership Is Earned. Training Is Ongoing. Legacy Is Built

Team KMMA Family,

This past weekend was something special.

Our Certified Instructor Training (CIT) Kick-Off wasn’t just successful — it was foundational.

Students, Sensei, and Masters came together with a shared purpose: to raise the next generation of KMMA leaders.

If you were there, you felt it.
If you weren’t, here’s what matters most:

This Is Not a One-Weekend Program

CIT is a system, not an event.

From here forward, our CIT candidates will:

  • Shadow their Sensei in real classes

  • Learn leadership, communication, and class management hands-on

  • Be coached, evaluated, and developed over time

This is how instructors are built, not rushed.

Leadership Training That Goes Beyond the Mat

One thing we emphasized clearly this weekend:

The value of this training will far outweigh the investment.

Why?
Because we’re not just training future Sensei —
We’re developing leaders, professionals, and role models who will carry these skills into every calling they pursue, inside or outside the dojo.

Announcing the MAP Program (Program Director Track)

This weekend also marked the official launch of our MAP Program — the leadership and business-operations track that complements CIT.

  • CIT = Instructor & teaching leadership

  • MAP = Program Director & operational leadership

Both are:

  • Earned opportunities

  • Application-based

  • Selective by design

Together, they form the KMMA leadership bench we are intentionally building for the future.

Who Should Be Paying Attention Right Now?

  • Blackbelt Leadership students → Apply for CIT and/or MAP

  • Blackbelt Training & Basic students → Now is the time to step into Blackbelt Leadership

  • Everyone → It’s Stripe Test Week — leadership is tested, not just talked about

If you feel that pull to grow, lead, and contribute more — that’s not accidental.

Leadership starts with a decision.

More details on applications, timelines, and next steps coming very soon.

Proud of this team.
Excited for what we’re building — together.
