In the Presence of Greatness

Thank you for your time sir, and bringing in Grandmaster Jeff.

Memphis may not grasp who’s presence he was in, but looking at this photograph I can recognize the presence of greatness when I see it.

He’s in the presence of greatness every time we walk through the door.

Surrounded by All of your Sensei’s, from the outside looking in, you should be proud of the men and women you have in leadership roles. They are all top notch, and are a great reflection of you and what you have in your heart sir.

I am both proud of and grateful for that email I received from Mr. Higgins yesterday.

   I also agree with him. Grandmaster Smith is great; and so are Sensei Thomas and all of my KMMA Blackbelt Leaders.

I also believe that ALL of my students are great.

     The young child lacking focus, discipline and self control…

The young child too shy, timid and/or fearful…

     The adult that, for either of these or any other reason, is failing to live up to his or her full potential.

I believe that all of my students are great because I see the greatness within them even before they do.

     I see the future Blackbelt version each will be.

And then we work together to turn that Vision into reality.

I believe in the greatness in YOU!

   Stay on your quest to be your best and become the Blackbelt Leader version of you!

About Grandmaster Stephen J. Del Castillo: Grandmaster Del Castillo is the founding Master Instructor of Krav Maga Martial Arts and has been empowering lives in Pasco and Hillsborough Counties since October of 2000. He is a 7th degree Blackbelt, MBA, author, mentor and success coach, a US Army Veteran and a proud father and grandfather. He is married to Ms. Barbara Del Castillo who helps him run the school. Grand Master Del Castillo began his training in the early 80’s and has high level blackbelts in Tae Kwon Do, Karate, Premier Martial Arts and Krav Maga Martial Arts as well as experience in kickboxing, Jeet Kune Do and Jiujitsu. He has high level instructor certifications from BBSI, IKMF, and KMG and has been featured in numerous Martial Arts publications and also Success magazine. He was a competitive sport karate and American Kickboxing instructor until he enlisted in the US Army where he served in the 82nd Airborne Division, where he won an Army Green to Gold scholarship and proceeded to ROTC and the University of Tampa. He was commissioned in 1992 and went on to serve in Germany with the 3rd Infantry Division and then in several other posts in the US until he left military service to pursue his dream of creating KMMA in 2000.
