How You Doing?

Hi Tribe,

Just checking in on your after the storm.

I think we were blessed and of course we are praying for all still affected by it.

I’ve been watching the coverage all morning and there are people in north Florida really affected and still not out of it yet.

And we have friends even as close as Bayshore in South Tampa, Clearwater and Dunedin still in peril from the surge.

There are still some tornado warnings even in Pasco.

Having said all of this, it seems to me we will be ok for classes.

So, as for now, I am planning for regularly scheduled classes tonight.

I’ll post in the Official KMMA Family Facebook page if anything changes.

We had some great classes last night btw!

Great stripe testing and even some new students joined the family too! More tonight!

As is my custom, I of course have a leadership lesson from this storm, and any really.

The Blackbelt leadership lesson is to pray for the best and prepare for the worst.

The lesson applies to weather, but also to self defense, and also to life.

God willing, none of my students will ever have to apply the practical self defense skills they learn through krav maga, but we train for the worst situations.

We train physically, mentally and emotionally for the stress associated with violent conflict.

The training also prepares my students for the storms of life.

We all know that life isn’t always easy.

We go through seasons; and there are storms.

But we also know that life is 10% what happens and 90% how we react to it,

so we prepare mentally, physically and emotionally for that, while also training to see, expect and create the best (through positive mental attitude).

Our Mission is to create confident and competent Blackbelt Leaders, prepared to survive and thrive in any situation, and empowered to lead where they are at, and into their futures.

Thanks for joining us on this quest.

If you’re not a student yet, start here.
