Help Your Child Set One Goal That Can Shape Their School Year
KMMA Back-to-School Success Challenge – Day 3
As we count down to our FREE Back-to-School Success Seminar on July 25, we’re sharing one simple habit each day to help children develop the mindset and life skills they’ll carry into the new school year.
Today’s 2-Minute Challenge:
Write Down One Goal for the School Year
Children who have goals are more likely to stay motivated, focused, and confident when challenges arise.
Today, spend just two minutes helping your child choose one goal they want to achieve this school year—and write it down.
It doesn’t have to be a big goal. It just needs to be meaningful to them.
Here are a few ideas:
- Improve a school subject
- Make a new friend
- Try their best every day
- Read more books
- Be kinder to others
Encourage them to think about why that goal matters and remind them that every big accomplishment starts with one small step.
This simple habit helps build:
- Self-Motivation
- Focus
- Confidence
When children have something they’re working toward, they’re more likely to stay engaged, overcome setbacks, and believe in their ability to succeed.
