Don’t worry, be happy

Good Morning ,

Let me introduce myself, my name is Sensei Kyle Bierly and I am the Chief Instructor here at Krav Maga Martial Arts. I first started my training with Grand Master Del Castillo 20 years ago at the age of 4. I trained all the way into high school and then accepted a scholarship offer to play college baseball in Alabama. Shortly after graduating from college, I enlisted into the Marine Corps where I still serve in the Reserves while I teach here and continue to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

Yes, we give families the training and skills to defend themselves in various situations but we also give them the ability to excel in various areas of their lives. As a kid, I didn’t even see it but now I realize that the lessons I learned growing up at Krav Maga Martial Arts gave me the skills to have better relationships by learning how to give respect and communicate well with others, the laser-beam focus to get tasks done, the leadership skills to lead people inside and outside the military, and most importantly it taught me how to give 110% effort in everything I do.

Now, what does this have to do with being happy?

Well, the lesson Circles of Concern and Control made me a happier person. In our dojo this month we are practicing focusing our eyes, ears, minds, and bodies. In life, our focus can be on things that concern us (or worry us) or on things that we can control (things that we can proactively change). The overlapping part of these circles is where we should put all of our energy. This will allow us to be happier by allowing us to be less concerned over things we can’t control.

You know what else would make you and your family happy?

Taking advantage of FREE classes for 2 weeks at our academy where parents and adults can get a good workout and relieve some stress and kids can expel some energy, learn respect and discipline, and make new friends.

It’s never been easier. Just reply to this email and I will respond to you and help set up your first class. You can also submit your information HERE and Sensei Sarah will give you a call.
