Director of First Impressions (DFI) Internship Description
The Director of First Impressions (DFI) is a customer service internship. By maintaining the standard of appearance in the front desk and common areas, greeting and welcoming current and future students, and assisting the program director with nightly duties such as intros, marketing, and other administrative and office tasks, he or she helps us convey our warm and welcoming Black Belt leadership culture. The intern will learn and develop leadership and management skills that will serve them well for the rest of their professional life, with KMMA or elsewhere, preparing them for the highest levels of leadership, sales and customer service and a highly successful career in whatever industry they choose.
- Raving fan customer service to all students, families, prospects, and guests. Get assistance and training from the program director and branch manager.
- Greeting students, families, prospects, and guests and making them feel welcome, and managing attendance cards.
- Missing in Action calls for students that miss their scheduled class.
- Take pictures and/or video of key class moments (white belt, character stripes, vision sheets, invite to LTC trial, etc.)
- Assist Program Director with intake, tour, and intros as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk, bathroom and parent viewing area.
- Ensure character sheets and leadership handouts are stocked and handed out; prepare stripes for Sensei.
- Ensure that TV/Virtual Dojo, Music, and YouTube Lesson of the Week are queued.
- Assist and shadow Program Director at external and internal marketing events.
- Have fun, do your best and learn! This training will prepare you for amazing success at whatever you decide to do or are called to!
