Congratulations on Testing — and What’s Important Next
Hello Team KMMA,
First—congratulations.
If you or your child are testing right now, it means something important:
consistency.
Consistency is how confidence is built.
Consistency is how discipline forms.
Consistency is how leaders—and Blackbelts—are developed.
I’m proud of the work being done on the mat.
One of the leadership tools we teach is WIN:
What’s Important Now, and What’s Important Next.
Right now, what’s important is finishing strong—
testing with focus, effort, and a positive attitude.
Next, what’s important is enjoying the season ahead.
We’ll be on break from December 24 through January 2, and I encourage you to truly enjoy it. Whether you’re celebrating Hanukkah or Christmas, spend time with family, rest, recharge, and be present.
Then—come back ready.
📅 January 3: Graduation
📅 January 5: Kickoff of the Best Year Ever at KMMA
Behind the scenes, I’ve been working on exciting additions to our Blackbelt Leadership Program, our curriculum, and how we execute it day-to-day. Our program is already strong—but this coming year, we are taking it higher and better.
For families and students not yet in the Blackbelt Leadership Program, this is an important moment.
Blackbelt Goal-Setting Season is the perfect time to ask:
What’s my WIN? What’s important next?
The Leadership Program is where students deepen focus, discipline, confidence, and leadership—on and off the mat. If that next step has been on your mind, now is the time to explore it.
Enjoy the holidays, enjoy the break, and come back ready to grow.
I’m proud of you, grateful for your trust, and excited for what’s ahead.
