Belt Testing Alert, Get Ready to Shine!
Hello KMMA Tribe!
As we approach the end of another exciting training cycle, we wanted to remind you that belt testing starts Saturday, December 16th, and goes until Friday, December 22nd. This is a great opportunity for you to showcase the skills and techniques you’ve been working so hard on and show off that indomitable spirit!
After belt testing, the dojo will be closed starting on Saturday, December 23rd and will reopen on Tuesday, January 2nd.
But, before we close for the holidays, we still have plenty of fun things going on here at the dojo!
Coming Up at KMMA
Friday, December 15th – Our last Parent’s Night Out of the year is tonight from 7:30PM – 9:00PM! Sensei Allie is planning a fun and festive pajama party! Hot Cocoa, games, Christmas and Hanukkah themed cards and ornaments to take home (kids will be creating them), and we’re bringing back a fan favorite, the Ninja Trix Obstacle course!
Saturday, December 16th – Friday, December 22nd – Be prepared to do your best during Best Testing week!
Saturday, December 23rd – January 1st – The dojo will be closed this week. We hope everyone enjoys their time off and prepares to come back strong on Tuesday, January 2nd!
Sunday, January 31st – As we talked about earlier, we are hosting a New Year’s Eve Sleepover here at the dojo! This is one of Sensei Allie’s favorite events to go to when she was growing up in the dojo and she’s so excited to bring it back! Come join us and make those memories yourself!

About Grandmaster Stephen J. Del Castillo: Grandmaster Del Castillo is the founding Master Instructor of Krav Maga Martial Arts and has been empowering lives in Pasco and Hillsborough Counties since October of 2000. He is a 7th degree Blackbelt, MBA, author, mentor and success coach, a US Army Veteran and a proud father and grandfather. He is married to Ms. Barbara Del Castillo who helps him run the school. Grand Master Del Castillo began his training in the early 80’s and has high level blackbelts in Tae Kwon Do, Karate, Premier Martial Arts and Krav Maga Martial Arts as well as experience in kickboxing, Jeet Kune Do and Jiujitsu. He has high level instructor certifications from BBSI, IKMF, and KMG and has been featured in numerous Martial Arts publications and also Success magazine. He was a competitive sport karate and American Kickboxing instructor until he enlisted in the US Army where he served in the 82nd Airborne Division, where he won an Army Green to Gold scholarship and proceeded to ROTC and the University of Tampa. He was commisioned in 1992 and went on to serve in Germany with the 3rd Infantry Division and then in several other posts in the US until he left military service to pursue his dream of creating KMMA in 2000.
