Before and After
There are so many things that I want to write and share about the last week of the year, as we approach our best year ever.
It’s 0 week at the dojo; that is, we are doing all the necessary prep work to be ready to hit the ground rocking classes and empowering lives next Tuesday!
So Sensei Allie is here with me today and was showing me some new pics she has put together of the team for our tour wall, and I had to share them with you here today.
Here is Sensei Allie, when she started and current.
She’s come a long way since she was four. 🙂
But as a young 23 year old Blackbelt Leader, she’s only just begun!
Sensei Allie continues to grow as one of our youth head instructors, and a key leader of Team KMMA.
I’m proud of and grateful for her and look forward to continuing to help her grow personally and professionally, while she helps us grow all our future Blackbelts into confident and competent Blackbelt Leaders too!
Sensei Winston has been here his whole life too, and also continues to grow, as a martial artists, leader and Head Instructor of Team KMMA.
And then there’s Sensei John Warwick, pictured here with his son Maddon.
John clearly started as an adult student- like so many, to do something special with his son.
But he has grown so much in these few years to Blackbelt too!
Well, in every way except weight- he’s also lost over 50 pounds since he started training!
I am so proud of and grateful for he and his son, and can’t wait to help him accomplish all of his personal and professional goals in ’24 too!
He’s also a KMMA Sensei now, and also our Program Director.
I share this because I am proud and grateful of all these leaders as part of Team KMMA.
But I’ll tell you, I am equally proud of all our Blackbelt Leaders of KMMA.
And, as excited as I am to grow these featured Sensei this year, I am excited to do the same for you too!

About Grandmaster Stephen J. Del Castillo: Grandmaster Del Castillo is the founding Master Instructor of Krav Maga Martial Arts and has been empowering lives in Pasco and Hillsborough Counties since October of 2000. He is a 7th degree Blackbelt, MBA, author, mentor and success coach, a US Army Veteran and a proud father and grandfather. He is married to Ms. Barbara Del Castillo who helps him run the school. Grand Master Del Castillo began his training in the early 80’s and has high level blackbelts in Tae Kwon Do, Karate, Premier Martial Arts and Krav Maga Martial Arts as well as experience in kickboxing, Jeet Kune Do and Jiujitsu. He has high level instructor certifications from BBSI, IKMF, and KMG and has been featured in numerous Martial Arts publications and also Success magazine. He was a competitive sport karate and American Kickboxing instructor until he enlisted in the US Army where he served in the 82nd Airborne Division, where he won an Army Green to Gold scholarship and proceeded to ROTC and the University of Tampa. He was commisioned in 1992 and went on to serve in Germany with the 3rd Infantry Division and then in several other posts in the US until he left military service to pursue his dream of creating KMMA in 2000.
