A New Rank. A New Chapter.

There’s something special about earning a new rank.

You look down and see a different belt around your waist.

But what you can’t see is everything that went into earning it.

  • The classes you showed up for.
  • The things you struggled with.
  • The corrections you made.
  • The moments you wanted to quit but didn’t.
  • The work you put in when nobody was watching.
  • That new rank represents all of that.

     And now you get to decide what comes next.

Not someday.

Not when the next belt test gets closer.

     Now.

You have a new starting point.

So take a moment this weekend to appreciate how far you’ve come.

Then look forward.

Think about the next goal.

Think about the person you’re becoming.

And think about the first step you’re going to take toward getting there.

 

You don’t need to know every step of the journey.

You just need to be willing to take the next one.

Your new rank isn’t the end of what you’ve accomplished.

  It’s the beginning of what you can accomplish next.

So wear that new belt with pride.

Then get back to work.
